Sports Betting Locations
- (AP) — Five New Hampshire cities voted to allow sports betting locations, and two others have approved keno. The New Hampshire Lottery said the cities of Berlin, Claremont, Laconia.
- The FanDuel Sportsbook is located in East Rutherford, in the same sports complex six miles from New York City where the NFL's New York Giants and Jets play. The Meadowlands said they plan to expand.
- The bill, which launched in December, authorized online sports betting and up to 10 retail sportsbook locations, which have not yet been selected. Towns that approved retail locations Tuesday.
Just over a week after the Indiana Gaming Commission gave the green light, the list of all Indiana sports betting locations continues to grow. While that’s confined to Indiana casinos, for now, that won’t always be the case.
Even with legal sports betting in Indiana currently confined to physical sportsbooks, most Indiana residents and visitors are within a short drive of a place where they can place a wager. Because of that, there are plenty of options to consider.
No legislation has been proposed to introduce legal sports betting in the state of North Dakota. Laws have been passed to legalize betting at retail locations, but gamblers are still waiting to place legal sports bets in Washington. No legislation has been proposed to introduce legal sports betting in the state of Utah.
The details on all Indiana sports betting locations
There are seven physical sportsbooks accepting wagers in the Hoosier State. More will be opening their betting windows soon. For now, though, these are the ones currently open, along with their locations:
- Ameristar Casino: 777 Ameristar Blvd., East Chicago, IN 46312.
- Belterra Casino: 777 Belterra Drive, Florence, IN 47020
- Blue Chip Casino: 777 Blue Chip Drive, Michigan City, IN 46360
- French Lick Resort: 8670 W State Road 56, French Lick, IN 47432
- Hollywood Casino: 777 Hollywood Blvd., Lawrenceburg, IN 47025
- Horseshoe Casino Hammond: 777 Casino Center Drive, Hammond, IN 46320
- Indiana Grand Casino: 4300 N Michigan Road, Shelbyville, IN 46176
This list of Indiana sportsbooks only offers betting on-site. It’s possible they could launch mobile apps in Indiana as early as next month, however.
In fact, all of the casinos have sportsbooks partnerships with companies that already operate sports betting apps. Those partnerships are:
- Ameristar: FoxBet, theScore, PointsBet, DraftKings*
- Belterra and Blue Chip: FanDuel Sportsbook
- French Lick: Rush Street Interactive
- Harrah’s Hoosier Park: Caesar’s
- Hollywood: FoxBet, theScore, PointsBet, DraftKings*
- Horseshoe Hammond and Southern Indiana: Caesar’s
- Indiana Grand: Caesar’s
*Penn National Gaming operates the Ameristar and Hollywood casinos in Indiana. Penn has market access deals with all four companies listed, but the Stars Group (FoxBet) has first priority for skins. PointsBet and theScore both have second priority, and DraftKings gets access after that.
While those are the current options for Indianans, more are coming soon. As future casinos launch both their online sportsbooks in Indiana, the number of places to legally bet on Notre Dame games will become as ubiquitous as places to watch the games.
More Indiana sportsbooks on the way
Three of Indiana’s brightest casino stars are set to open sportsbooks, albeit at dates that aren’t imminent. The Majestic Star and Rising Star comprise that list.

The Majestic Star, which will relocate to Gary and rebrand as a Hard Rock Casino, is slated for a launch on New Year’s Eve 2020. Both online and physical sportsbook options will be available then.
The Rising Star doesn’t have to undergo as drastic a renovation as the Majestic Star, but its recent partnership with Smarkets will require some work. A launch date hasn’t been announced yet.
Other casinos in the state that haven’t yet announced plans but could at any time include the Four Winds South Bend and Tropicana Evansville. The Pokagon Band of the Potawatomi Nation operates the Four Winds while the Tropicana Evansville is run by Tropicana Entertainment.
William Hill operates the sportsbook at the Tropicana in Atlantic City, so that’s a potential in-road into Indiana for that operator. It’s uncertain which operator the Four Winds might partner with.
While more options are imminent, the collection of books available now is significant. Because of that, Indiana is quickly becoming a hotbed state for sports betting.
