Girls Night Card Game
Growing up, my family and I used to play games almost every night at dinner. I’m talking marathon Monopoly games, Uno matches that would rival competitive sports, and more than a few domino games that include ‘friendly wagers’. While I loved it as a kid, I needed a long break from game nights before I got back into them as an adult.
Now, game night has taken on a new meaning. I look forward to popping open a bottle of wine and bringing out the games—it’s such a fun way to spend time and connect with friends and family!
Scroll on for some of my favorites for game night that’s guaranteed to keep you laughing and make everyone stay up way too late. We warned you!
Cards Against Humanity
Invite your besties over for the ultimate adult game night with this hilarious party pack of games! All of our games can be mixed with each other to fit your style so feel free to grab Black Card Revoked too. The following items are included in each pack: Girls Night Out - Pre-Game Edition Angela Yee's Lip Service - Na. Kids and adults both enjoy tasty miniature sandwiches in shapes like hearts and diamonds to fit with the card night theme. Choose ingredients that will stay in the sandwiches, so they are easy to eat one-handed during the card game.
One can’t make a game night list like this and not include the mother of all party games. Cards Against Humanity is a ridiculous, adult-themed, slightly offensive take on the card game Apples to Apples, and it’s quickly worked its way to the No. 1 best-selling spot in the toys and games department.
Smart Ass
Was Trivia Night at your local bar the highlight of your week? Bring the fun home with Smart Ass, a game where you have to shout out the answer to each who, what, or where question first to win the round. Sort of like Jeopardy without the manners.
What Do You Meme?
If memes crack you up, you’ll seriously love this game. Think Cards Against Humanity, but with Meme captions as the playing cards to make the best photo/text combo. What Do You Meme is our favorite easy game to play with friends (and a couple of bottles of wine or tequila cocktails!)
Twister
Okay, everyone is familiar with this game since it’s been around since the 60’s, but we think it has been unjustly forgotten over time. The great thing about Twister is that it is just as appropriate at an eight-year-old birthday party as at a grown-up party. There is even a “Twister Ultimate” version with a larger mat for more players.
Cranium
This all-rounder game is played in teams and forces players to use different kinds of creative intelligence—hence the name. Teams try to complete tasks by doing all kinds of things—getting your teammates to guess what you’re making out of clay, solving a puzzle, acting out a scene, or spelling words backward, for example. Cranium is a game for all ages, too!
Hot Seat
Want to get to know your friends better? Then you have to play the Hot Seat card game, which will help you find out who your friends really are – you may even discover a few things you didn’t want to know!
Heads Up
From naming celebrities to singing, to silly accents, Heads Up is sure to bring a ton of laughs. You have to guess the word on the card that’s on your head from your friends’ clues before the timer runs out!
5 Second Rule
You think it’d be easy to name three types of dessert, but it’s not easy when the five-second timer is going! 5 Second Rule is a simple, yet incredibly fun game where you are challenged to name three of whatever topic is on the card—sometimes you’ll be able to name them in three seconds and other times your mind will go completely blank!
Codenames
Only serious game players allowed! There are two spymasters and each spymaster is trying to get their team to guess which word or picture cards are theirs by only saying one very strategic word. Codenames is a word game that will force you to really use your brain, but it feels so good when you win!
Sorry!
I recently played this game on vacation and it was way more fun than I remembered (it helps that I kept winning)! It’s time to give Sorry! a second chance and bring it out at your next game night—maybe bring out Twister, too, and have a vintage game night!
Catch Phrase
Catch Phrase is definitely an oldie, but a goodie. If you haven’t played, you try to get your teammates to guess the word or phrase that appears, but you can’t say any of the words on the screen—you better think fast! This fast-paced game will give you a little insight into how your friends or family think under pressure!
Ticket to Ride
If you’re looking for a game that’s a bit more strategic than your basic game, but not quite as strategic (and long!) as Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride is the game for you! In this cross-country train adventure game, you and your friends will collect cards and grow your railway across America; if you can connect two cities and have the longest railway, you’re the winner!

A little bit silly and a whole lot of fun!

My Favorite Things Party
A “Favorite Things” party is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening with friends. Ask everyone to pick one of their “favorite things” — from beauty products to food — and to bring 5 of them. Then, take turns sharing about what you brought and shopping from others’ favorite things (You get to take home 5 NEW things!). I usually take Nutella or a Sonic gift card as my favorite thing (because, hello — they’re awesome!) and take home other stuff like a coloring book and spice mixes.
Movie Night
What’s more relaxing than sitting around in comfy clothes and watching a good chick flick? Whether you watch Runaway Bride or Moms’ Night Out, you and your friends will love vegging out together. Make a popcorn bar with different flavored seasonings, and you have the makings of a memorable girls ‘night.
Fondue Night
Sometimes you just need some good cheese in your life. And what’s better than gathering around a fondue pot with a group of girlfriends? Start your night with an easy cheese fondue and end it with chocolate. Sooo good and such a fun and unique way to spend an evening.
Bunco
Never played Bunco? It’s a great way to introduce friends who don’t know each other or to catch up with friends you don’t see very often. It’s fast-paced, fun, and mindless (which is good when you’re trying to chat, too). And bonus — the winner gets fun prizes! All you need are several sets of dice and the rules.
Pizza Party
Make personal pizzas with pita bread or go all out with homemade dough and lots of different kinds of toppings. Your friends will love being able to personalize their food (and it’s great for different diets and allergies).
Karaoke
For a fun night of music, rent a karaoke machine and sing 80s or 90s songs all night long! You’ll make some hilarious memories together.
